Increasing Self-awareness
Facilitating Mutual Understanding
Understanding Team Dynamics
Enhancing Communication

Does this sound like the needs of your team? Then an Understanding DISC workshop may be just what the psychologist ordered. Team building efforts should not just be an excuse to be out of the office for a day. Participants should leave with valuable information and practical skills.

This half-day workshop is designed to help individuals understand the impact of their behaviour (i.e. what we can actually observe an individual do, their interactional style and work style) in the work context. Workplace behaviour is described according to the well researched DISC theory. The workshop will reveal how modifying behaviour dramatically enhances overall individual performance. Each participant receives an in-depth assessment of his or her own preferred behavioural style. The workshop specifically focuses on the following:

• Understanding behaviour and why this is important in the work context.
• Understanding the DISC theory.
• Gain a better understanding of ones own behaviour, and the behaviour of others.
• Gain insight into how one is perceived by others.
• Understand what motivates the individual and how this is relevant to the workplace.

This workshop can also be tailored to the specific needs of the company and can focus more or less on the issues raised above. Other assessment instruments can be added (e.g. emotional intelligence, work values) and these results will be incorporated into the workshop.
